Mamata Banerjee Denied Permission To Meet Arvind Kejriwal By Lt Governor

Mamata Banerjee had pledged her support to Arvind Kejriwal earlier this week, appealing to the centre to resolve the problem "immediately".

New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) Anil Baijal has denied West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee permission to meet her Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal who is on a sit-in protest at Mr Baijal's house for the sixth day today.

This is getting more and more bizarre, tweeted Mr Kejriwal who has been on dharna at the Raj Niwas since Monday evening, along with three ministers --- Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain and Gopal Rai, demanding that the "strike" by IAS officers in Delhi be called off.

Ms Banerjee had pledged her support to Mr Kejriwal earlier this week, appealing to the centre to resolve the problem "immediately".

"Elected Chief Minister must get due respect. May I appeal to the government of India and the LG to resolve the problem immediately so that people do not suffer", Ms Banerjee had tweeted on Wednesday.

Ms Banerjee is in Delhi to attend a Niti Aayog meeting on Sunday

Marga Faulstich worked on more 300 types of optical glasses.

Search engine giant Google today honoured Marga Faulstich, the German Glass chemist with a doodle on her 103rd birth anniversary. Born on June 16, 1915, she worked with Scott AG for close to 44 years. She worked on more 300 types of optical glasses during this time.

In 1935, soon after completing her graduation from high school, Faulstich began her training as the graduate assistant at Schott AG. The company was one of the biggest manufacturing company of optical and technical speciality glasses in Europe. She worked on the development of thin films during her early years in the company.

While gaining ground in her vocation, Faulstich soon turned into a professional, at that point logical collaborator and after that at last turned into a researcher. After her fiancee passed away in the second world war, she began focussing just on her profession. She examined science in 1942 while proceeding to work with a similar organization. In the wake of working for the organization for a long time, Faulstich resigned in 1979. She passed away at 82 years old on February 1, 1998.

On June 6, Google praised the birthday of noted anesthesiologist Virginia Apgar. She was one of the main figures in anaesthesiology and teratology. She designed the Apgar Score, that evaluates the wellbeing of infant kids instantly after birth. She was conceived on June 7, 1909, and was the most youthful of three kids to a melodic family in New Jersey. Apgar had a distinct fascination in the science since her adolescence and needed to end up a specialist.

She studied chemistry, physiology and zoology, before joining Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Here she was discouraged from following surgery. Apgar asked to join anaesthesiology. In 1937, after completing a residency in surgery, she went on to get certification as an anesthesiologist from Bellevue Hospital in New York.

Dr. Virginia Apgar: Google Celebrates The Anaesthesiologist's 109th Birthday With Doodle

Google is adulating the 109th birthday festivity recognition of American anaesthesiologist Dr Virginia Apgar, who is the credited for making the 'Apgar Score' that chooses the quality of a baby.

Imagined in New Jersey in 1909, Apgar reliably had a particular interest in science. She at first analyzed zoology, science and physiology before going to Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

She definitely transformed into a primary figure in the fields of anaesthesiology and teratology.

The specialist built up a baby's neonatal forecast, known as the Apgar Score, which is taken close to birth and has turned out to be standard practice in doctor's facilities around the world.

She was irritated by the treatment of infants especially the individuals who were deformed or had agitated relaxing.

To her awe, babies who were blue or were attempting to inhale were recorded as stillborn and left amazing.
